Senior Bowl 2012: Day 2
By Melinda Dove

Mobile AL- The second day of the 2012 Senior Bowl in Mobile Alabama was a busy one. With the north
team practicing in the morning and the south in the afternoon. There were a few standouts in both
practices today and I expect to see many more in the coming days.

For the north team RB Doug Martin has looked very good, he runs with speed and can burst through
holes and makes defenses miss by side stepping and creating yardage. He also showed that he can
return kicks during the special team drill. QB Russell Wilson has more of a presence today than
yesterday. He has still struggled at times with his passes. Today however, he has shown many more
flashes of beautiful passes that on are on target.

Joe Looney Guard from Wake Forest has a torn ligament in his foot and will require surgery. He will
miss the rest of the week.

While I did not get to see the south practice on Monday there has been a lot of talk about how terrific
Brandon Weeden has been. I have to admit after seeing him today I would agree. He seems to have a
great arm can get the call through tight coverage. Florida RB Chris Rainey looked good, showing
speed downfield and great hands. Most defenders seemed to have trouble being able to stay with him
downfield. He also showed the ability to make blocks, taking down a defensive lineman in practice.

Please check back for more update from the 2012 Senior Bowl.
