| Fantasy Football Kick Off Weekend |
| By Jason Behr September *, 2010 What a great time of year with the NFL opener just hours away that signals the start of fantasy football leagues across the nation. As long as your top notch guys have avoided any pre season injuries your roster should be locked and loaded from your draft. The one major scare happened this morning when it was reported that Tom Brady, who happens to be my starting quarterback, was involved in a car accident. Fortunately for me and every other Brady owner he wasn’t hurt and walked away just fine. Larry Fitzgerald(another player I own) with a sprained mcl and Sydney Rice with hip surgery are among the few star players with injury concerns. Rice is due to be out for the first half of the season and Fitzgerald is still on pace to play on Sunday. Ronnie Brown has also got glowing reviews coming back from his major knee surgery last year down in Miami. This should be the easiest week of the season to set your rosters and just go with the guys you drafted. After all you drafted them for a reason and need to find out what they will do. With all that being said there are several high profile match ups this week. The Colts vs Texan game has the potential for some heavy quarterback point totals with neither team having a sturdy defense. The Lions and Bears game (bias alert Detroit born and bred) should see Mike Martz’s revamped offensive for the Bears get off to a very healthy start. I can see all 3 Bear’s wr’s coming away with a good number of catches. On the other end of the spectrum the Jets and Ravens along with the Titans and Oakland match ups feature some of the best defenses the NFL has to offer and fantasy points could be hard to come by. Good luck to one and all this season and feel free to send me your comments and questions at Jason@theisn.net thru out the season. |
